CORRECTION: Commenting on our European retail charts, we said that Intersport lost market share in Germany and the same happened in France to the biggest sporting goods retailer in France, Decathlon. Looking at the figures more closely, you may have noticed that Intersport's retail sales rose by 1.0 percent in a German market that only grew by 0.8 percent. Sales declined by 0.6 percent at Sport 2000, more or less in line with the market, but all their major competitors lost market share: sales by an estimated 7.5 percent at Karstadt, by 7.6 percent at Sport-Scheck, by 4.3 percent at Globetrotter and by an estimated 11.0 percent at Runners Point.
