Creating a new position, Walter Wansauer has been named by Fischer as head of sales for both Germany and Austria. The executive, who has been with the company for nearly 20 years, had been appointed a year ago as country manager for Germany, taking the place of Siegfried Passreiter after many years. Helmut Wurmhöringer, who has been with Fischer since 1999, will still be in charge of sales in Austria, but he will report to Wansauer. The sales networks will remain separate in the two countries. Administration, logistics and marketing for the two countries are already centralized at Fischer's head office in Ried, Austria.
