Cristian Corsi has returned to the leadership of Nike do Brasil. Corsi was already Nike's general manager in Brazil for nearly five years until September 2011, and he was called back at a time that is pivotal for the brand's expansion in the country, ahead of the 2014 football World Cup and the Rio Olympics in 2016. This comes after the abrupt departure earlier this year of Chris Kypriotis, the former Rusty and Billabong executive who took over from Corsi and ran the company for just over one year. In the meantime, Corsi acted as global sales director for Nike sportswear at the group's head office near Portland.
