Decathlon has announced that it is partnering with the Net Zero Initiative, a framework for collective carbon neutrality. The Net Zero Initiative helps organizations describe and organize their climate action. The framework is based on the idea that an organization must act in three complementary ways toward the global objective of reducing carbon emissions. These actions include: 1) reducing its direct and indirect emissions; 2) reducing the emissions of others; and 3) improving carbon sinks. The Net Zero Initiative, launched in June 2018, is led by Carbone 4, a Paris-based independent consulting firm specialized in low carbon strategy and climate change adaptation, along with a dozen of pioneer companies and a scientific committee.
