United Repair Centre (URC), a circular textile-repair initiative backed by Patagonia, announced the February 2026 launch of its Paris Repair Hub in the 13th arrondissement. This marks its third European location following Amsterdam and London.
The Paris hub is funded by a €3.2 million investment from impact investors including Phitrust, makesense, ROM InWest, DOEN Ventures, Parrot Eyes, and the Netherlands’ Amsterdam Economic Board, alongside support from the City of Paris.
United Repair Centre’s Paris hub will offer B2B repair services for brands such as Patagonia, Lululemon, Levi’s, Arc’teryx, The North Face, and Decathlon. In 2024, URC processed over 29,000 garments across its Amsterdam and London hubs—a volume projected to more than double with the new site, reaching approximately 75,000 repairs annually.
The hub’s model combines technical excellence with social impact: it will include the United Repair Academy, which trains and employs repair technicians—many from refugee backgrounds—providing guaranteed employment upon completion.
URC’s CEO, Thami Schweichler, commented: “France has led the world with bold policies to curb cheap, badly made clothing. It made sense to bring United Repair Centre to Paris—just in time to show the impact of repairing what you love, rather than buying what you don’t need.”
This expansion is part of URC’s Europe-wide growth strategy, which includes two additional hubs due within two years and development of proprietary service-platform technology.
