Oeko-Tex has introduced a unique QR code for products labelled as Made in Green by Oeko-Tex, allowing customers to trace the production chain of the products and find out why they have been certified. More than 3,700 products have been certified with the label, which signifies sustainable production of textiles and leathergoods, since its introduction five years ago. To earn the label, suppliers must also implement measures to improve working conditions and ensure the safety and health of their employees. This covers working hours, fair wages, social security and compliance with hygienic and medical requirements. In addition, Oeko-Tex constantly monitors legal, industrial, health, science and technical information to ensure that a third party such as Oeko-Tex is up-to-date and unbiased.
