Sebastian Vettel to receive conservation award for activism

Sebastian Vettel will be presented with The Perfect World Foundation Award 2026 “for his long-term commitment to raising awareness and driving positive environmental and social change within sport and beyond it,” said the organization. The award ceremony will be held in Sweden on April 21, 2026, at a high-profile event bringing together philanthropists, celebrities and leading voices who support wildlife and environment.

Vettel has long used his global platform to raise awareness of the environment, in particular for biodiversity through Sebastian Vettel V5 Projects. His engagement spans the protection of forests, pollinators and natural habitats. By connecting sport, culture and environmental responsibility, he has reached new audiences.

Based in Gothenburg, The Perfect World Foundation is a global wildlife and nature conservation organization with Scandinavian roots. The Foundation uses its funds for awareness campaigns, local conservation projects, and supporting those who work on the front lines to protect wildlife and ecosystems.

Each year, The Perfect World Foundation Award is presented to individuals who leverage their influence and voice to encourage global efforts in defense of wildlife and nature. The Perfect World Foundation Award is widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious conservation awards. Previous recipients include Sir David Attenborough (2018), Dian Fossey (2021) and Prince Albert II of Monaco (2022). Sebastian Vettel will become the 13th recipient of the award.
