The Czech brand Är has released an FFP2-certified mask that incorporates Polygiene’s ViralOff treatment, which purports to eliminate more than over percent of microbes from textiles. Unlike surgical masks, FFP2 masks filter air that comes in and air that goes out. They also therefore meet the criteria that various countries have set up for mask-wearing in certain public spaces. Är’s new mask is made of a light textile and nano membrane, with an “anatomical shape,” a nose clip and adjustable ear-loops. The other selling points are an anti-fog system, for wearers of glasses, and reusability, as improper disposal of surgical masks has become an environmental hazard. Är is already selling ViralOff-treated gloves and different ViralOff-treated face masks. The new one is available at arfacemask.com.
