Davide Rossetti, who has been running Invicta since it was sold by Diadora to Gruppo Seven in 2006, is being placed in charge of all the house brands of the Italian backpacks group as Invicta’s staff of about 20 people joins Seven’s large head office and distribution center near Turin, after a brief station in Padua. Separately, it’s reported that Invicta will launch a collection of skiing accessories for winter 2009/2010, co-branded with Playboy. Called Playboy Physical by Invicta, the line comprises gloves, gaiters, scarves and hats for men and women bearing Playboy’s logo and will be available in Invicta stores in Europe from the end of the summer. The deal was signed with Celebrity Lab, the holder of the Playboy license for Europe.
