Decathlon is expanding its retail presence in the Philippines with the opening of a new store in Cebu, inaugurated on March 1. Besides this new store, Decathlon’s presence in the Philippines also includes stores in Fairview, North Edsa, Antipolo City, Pasig City, Ermita, Mall of Asia, Clark, and Laguna. The company views the Philippines as an emerging market for sports and is planning to further expand its footprint in the southern Philippines, according to a report by the Philippine News Agency.

Decathlon, headquartered in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, near the French city of Lille, operates in two main areas: the creation of sports products and innovative services, as well as their distribution both online and in physical stores. The company has more than 1,750 points of sales worldwide and a staff of around 105,000 people.
