From Jan. 2, 2023, Decathlon in Germany will partner with the Payback loyalty program. The French sporting goods manufacturer and retailer operates more than 80 stores and an online store in Germany, and customers can choose from more than 100 types of sports in its product range.
Payback was founded in 1989. It has been active in Germany since March 2000, in Austria since May 2018, and also operates in Italy, Poland and Mexico. More than 31 million active customers are registered with Payback in Germany alone. Payback has been owned by the U.S. credit card company American Express since 2010.
