Décathlon has signed a partnership agreement with a well-known French mountain bike champion, Pierre-Geoffroy Plantet, to enhance the image of its B'Twin brand of bicycle products and to provide technical advice for the future development of the top range of mountain bikes. Plantet is going to make a real contribution through his own engineering company, Shift Up. Starting with the Raid Off Road in Cassis next March 17, Plantet will use various models of B'Twin bikes for training and competition, including a new high-end cross-country model, the 8XC Pro Factory, which will go on sale next June at a retail price of €4,499.95, and he will wear bike clothing and accessories developed by Décathlon. Plantet will also compete over the next few months in world races scheduled in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy and Andorra.
