Décathlon has signed a sponsorship contract for Kipsta, its private brand of team sports products, with the Castres Olympique rugby club, which currently ranks second in France. True to its low-cost vocation, Décathlon will sell its Castres jerseys at only €40 apiece, reduced to €35 for children's models. These prices compare with a range of €75-80 for those of other top-ranking clubs. The leading French sports retailer is reportedly looking for a similar sponsorship deal for Kipsta with a professional football club. It already sponsors the volleyball club of Tourcoing-Lille and a basketball club at Dunkirk - both located not far from its head office.
