Decathlon has announced the global launch of a new private label, Outshock, for its boxing products, noting that some 100 million people are practicing this sport around the world. The products developed by the French retailer will emphasize safety and protection, building up on the boxing range previously sold under its fitness brand, Domyos. The new brand starts with a line of boxing gloves and punching bags for beginners and advanced boxers that is coming out this month.

Olivier Clayssen is acting as Outshock's brand manager. He has worked for Decathlon for 15 years, most recently as European sales director for team sports products. A few months ago, Decathlon appointed a new brand manager for Domyos, Caroline Lanningan, who was previously in charge of Aptonia, the company's exclusive brand for nutrition products. She replaced Philippe Bernadat, who have moved to Iran to look for a possible development of the French banner in that country.
