Decathlon is entering the Serbian market with a new store in a park next to the Big Fashion shopping center in the Karaburma district of Belgrade. Meanwhile, the world's largest sporting goods retailer has opened two more stores in Germany, in Heilbronn and Bremen, making a total of 80 stores in the German market, with a strong omni-channel presence including its online operations. Decathlon has opened a total of 15 stores in the country so far this year. For 2020, it plans to add new stores at least in Fulda, Hamburg-Langenhorn, Weiterstadt and Erding. The French-based retail chain has become one of the biggest sporting goods retailers in the country. With products for more than 100 different types of sport, it claims to cover the largest number of sports disciplines in the German market.
