Décathlon is investing heavily in Domyos, its 10-year-old fitness brand, as it plans to deliver fast-rotating collections of fitness clothing to its stores, and to open dedicated headquarters for the division inside a sprawling fitness center. The collections are to rotate every four weeks, and while they are currently designed only for women, they will include a men’s range as of next year. Extra staff has been hired for the speeded-up production process and all the 130 employees who work for the brand will move into a new Domyos head office at the end of next year. Located at Marcq-en-Baroeul in the North of France, not far from Décathlon’s campus in Lille, the new 15,000-square-meter site will include a store and a fitness center open to the public, where products will be tested. Its open-plan interior will allow the staff and the public to mix.
