Derby Cycle has named Olaf Heinen as its new managing director to help guide its international growth. Germany's biggest bicycle maker entered the North American market in 2012 with its acquisitions of U.K.-based Raleigh and Toronto-based Cervélo. Its brands also include Kalkhoff, Focus, Univega and Rixe. Heinen has held various managerial roles for more than 20 years. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Hüppe Group, a provider of shower enclosures, where he held full commercial responsibility for the business and managed the controlling, finance, IT and general administration departments. Most recently, he was finance and administration director at the Linden Group, an automotive supplier.
