Derby Cycle wants to strengthen its sporting segment and has appointed Marc Faude as head of the newly created Product Unit Performance. Derby Cycle is the largest bicycle producer by revenues in Germany and its sporting brands include Focus, Cervélo and Univega. Faude brings more than 20 years of experience in the bike business, which he gained in leading positions at Specialized and Trek. He will be in charge of the product and brand management as well as the development activities of all the sporting brands of the German bike maker. He will report directly to Thomas Raith, managing director of the holding company.
