Despite its exit from the golf equipment market, Nike has agreed another long-term endorsement deal with Rory McIlroy covering apparel, footwear and accessories. McIlroy indicated in a tweet announcing the partnership that it had been set for at least ten years and The Telegraph estimated that it was worth about $100 million. Nike's decision to quit selling golf clubs allows the Northern Ireland player to sign up with other brands for his equipment. He is currently using Callaway drivers and irons, Titleist wedges and balls, and a Scotty Cameron putter. The popular young player initially obtained an all-inclusive five-year endorsement deal with Nike in 2013, reportedly earning him up to $20 million per year. Tiger Woods continues to wear Nike and the company confirmed its continued interest in the golf business by agreeing an endorsement deal with Jason Day in February. McIlroy was closely watched at the Masters in Augusta earlier this month, where he could have become only the sixth player in history to complete the grand slam, but it was Sergio Garcia who celebrated in the green jacket.
