Germany’s football prowess is undeniable, with a rich history of success in both men’s and women’s competitions. Now, American youth players will have the opportunity to experience top-tier training under the guidance of DFB Academy Coaches, known for nurturing talents like Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.
The DFB Academy Coaches will host camps in four selected cities across the United States this summer. Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Austin and Atlanta. These camps promise an “authentic German Soccer Camp Experience,” led by coaches boasting UEFA Pro or A licenses. Henning Wegter, from DFB GmbH & Co., expresses the importance of these camps in strengthening the DFB’s presence in the USA and fostering innovative partnerships.
Partner Clubs in each city will also benefit from coaching education provided by DFB Coach Educators. Eddie Loewen, Founder of Global Soccer Development, emphasizes the impact of this collaboration on US soccer development, aiming to leave a lasting mark on the American soccer landscape. In addition to training, male and female players can be scouted for a DFB Dream Team, with the opportunity to travel to Germany and experience the DFB Campus firsthand. Eligible players born between 2015 and 2008 can register for the DFB Soccer Camps, held annually leading up to the FIFA World Cup 2026.
As the largest FIFA Member Association, the DFB’s legacy includes numerous international successes, with over 7 million registered members and 1 million matches organized annually across all leagues. Global Soccer Development, co-founded by former Bundesliga player Eddie Loewen, aims to inspire and improve talented soccer players, providing a nurturing environment for success.
