Oberalp Group, the Italian-based sports brand distributor, has announced an exclusive partnership with Under Armour to distribute its products in Switzerland, beginning in the Fall/Winter 2025 season. This move builds on a successful collaboration launched in Italy in 2017, where Oberalp helped grow Under Armour’s revenues from €8 million to €50 million, demonstrating the partnership’s effectiveness.

“This collaboration with Under Armour in Italy has confirmed Oberalp’s ability to enhance the presence and potential of global brands,” said Michele Rossi, General Manager of Distributed Brands at Oberalp. “We look forward to embarking on this new adventure in Switzerland with the same enthusiasm and ambition.”

With Oberalp’s extensive brand-building experience and solid distribution network, Under Armour is expected to see significant market expansion in Switzerland. Oberalp has previously strengthened Under Armour’s wholesale presence to over 1,200 stores in Italy and manages 17 Under Armour retail locations, including both brand house and factory outlets.

The partnership reflects a strategic milestone for both companies, consolidating their European market presence and providing Swiss consumers with a more comprehensive shopping experience. “We are internationally recognized for leveraging our expertise as a house of brands to support other industry players,” Rossi explained, emphasizing Oberalp’s reputation for long-term partnerships.

Oberalp Group, a family-owned company founded in 1981 and headquartered in Bolzano, Italy, operates as a “House of Brands,” owning renowned mountain sports brands such as Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca and Evolv. In addition to developing its proprietary brands, it operates as an exclusive distribution partner for eight internationally renowned sports brands, including Under Armour, Smith, Fischer and Falke.
