Dorel Sports has appointed Russell Merry to the role of senior vice president and general manager of North America and the U.K. for Cycling Sports Group (CSG), which sells Cannondale and other bike brands to independent bicycle dealers (IBDs). He will report directly to Peter Woods, president and chief executive of Dorel Sports. Merry has more than 25 years of experience in the bicycle industry and specifically, six with Dorel Sports as managing director of CSG U.K. In addition, Dorel Sports has announced that Nick Hage, who has been at the head of the Cannondale sales force in North America since April, will now also lead the GT/Schwinn sales team. This means that Hage now has full sales leadership responsibility for IBD bike, apparel and parts and accessories for CSG North America. Finally, Dave Manchester, senior vice president of sales and marketing for North America, has resigned from the company to pursue other opportunities.
