Dosenbach-Ochsner, the large Swiss sporting goods and shoe retailer owned by Deichmann that holds a European license for the Fila brand, has signed a distribution contract with Footwear International Distribution, a subsidiary of the Dutch Unlimited Sports Group (USG) group, for the sale of Fila branded lifestyle footwear in the same territory covered by its license. This comprises all of Europe except for the U.K. and Ireland, which are handled by JD Sports Fashion, and Russia and Ukraine, which are Sportmaster's domain. USG, which has direct distribution structures in the Benelux and Scandinavian countries as well as France and Germany, is actively looking for agents and distributors in some other parts of Europe. USG is targeting mainly shoe shops, fashion boutiques and department stores for the line. The company will cooperate with Dosenbach-Ochsner in the design of the lifestyle collection as well as its more technical part. USG is a large retailer, wholesaler and licensee in the sporting goods and fashion sectors, marketing brands such as Champion, Le Coq Sportif, Helly Hansen, Tenson and Valsport.
