DP World Tour announces revamped schedule and record prize fund

The DP World Tour has announced that the 2024 season will include 44 golf tournaments in 24 countries and a combined record prize fund of £117 million (€137m), excluding the four major championships. The new prize fund represents an increase of around £3.4 million (€4m) from 2023. The 2024 schedule includes new events in Dubai and Bahrain and the return of the China Open. The European professional golf tour said that the 2024 season will feature “three new and distinct phases,” including five “Global Swings” from November 2023 to August 2024 (Opening Swing, International Swing, Asian Swing, European Swing, and Closing Swing), “The Back 9” phase from September 2024 to October 2024, and two “DP World Tour Play-Offs” in November 2024 in the United Arab Emirates.
