Ecco is launching the “Better Running Initiative,” an ongoing global program through which runners participate in experiments and share ideas that should lead to the development of the brand's first user-generated shoe for spring/summer 2015. The “Better Running Lab” is made out of more than 100 active members with diverse profiles including journalists, professional athletes, industry insiders and brand ambassadors, as well as other men and women who simply share a passion for running. Participants have received from Ecco a pair of its ultra-light Biom Evo Racer model, launched for spring/summer 2013, and they have been asked to test it in a wide range of key areas such as comfort, fit, flexibility and impact performance. Their feedback and observations will be incorporated into the upcoming collections of the Danish shoe manufacturer. Initially by invitation only, the Better Running Lab will be expanded in the coming months, with applications accepted via a “Sign Up” button at ecco.com.
