Edwin Haid is going to be the new chief executive for Maier Sports' Gonso and Rono brands, starting on March 18, taking the place of Kai Marquardt. He announced a few days ago that he was stepping down as German country manager of Lafuma, after eight years in office, to be replaced by Oliver Schröer. Haid, 51, previously worked for Jeantex, a German brand of biking and outdoor clothing that is no longer in the market. Maier took over Gonso in 2004 and Rono at the end of 2011.
