Employees of Fruit of the Loom at two sites in Alabama will be laid off when the company moves 276 apparel jobs to its headquarters in Kentucky. This number comprises 218 employees of Russell Corporation and 58 of Vanity Fair Brands. Employees will be given the option of moving to Kentucky; the transition is expected to be complete by the end of December.
