Erima has sealed a sponsoring agreement with 1. FC Köln, Cologne's football club in the German Bundesliga. The club comprises 19 teams with more than 300 players, who will all be equipped with apparel from the German team sports brand for at least the next three years. Erima was already jersey sponsor of Cologne in the late 1970s. Meanwhile, the club is still looking for a new president after legendary football player and World Cup winner of 1974, Wolfgang Overath, resigned in November. One name that has been mentioned in the local press as a possible candidate is Manfred Hell, the longtime chief of Jack Wolfskin who stepped down last year after the outdoor brand was sold to Blackstone.
