Erreà Sport and Rugby Europe, the administrative body for rugby union in Europe, have announced a partnership agreement that makes the Italian brand the official apparel supplier of Rugby Europe until June 30, 2023. The collaboration will begin with the first round of the 2020 Rugby Europe Championship, on Feb. 1, 2020. Rugby Europe is headquartered in Paris. Erreà was selected following a call for tenders, managed by Lagardère Sports France. By the terms of the agreement, Erreà will equip 250 referees, the match officials for the 600 matches organized each season by the Federation as well as the instructors of the 500 training sessions organized in the 48 member countries. The sportswear brand will produce a dedicated range of garments, which will also be available for purchase through a new online shop. Erreà, founded in 1988, is based near Parma. Its first technical sponsorship contract was signed the same year with Genoa Calcio, a football team competing in Italy's Serie A. In 2007, the company obtained the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification for all its products. In June 2018, Erreà was present at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, where it kitted the Icelandic national team. It was the brand's first presence at a football world cup. Today the company has technical sponsorship deals with teams in different countries for football, volleyball, basket, rugby and other sports.
