Etonic has moved back into several of Europe’s largest golf markets as part of the relaunch of its golf footwear range. Rights for the U.K. market had been almost dormant for the last two years in the hands of Limaco, an Irish company that focused on its own market. Two months ago U.K. rights were attributed to GM Golf Brands, which already sells Bionic gloves and Izzo golf bags. It became an approved supplier of the Foremost buying group. Meanwhile, Foissy Golf was recruited to sell Etonic on the French market, taking over from Buva, the brand’s Belgian distributor, which remains its partner for the Benelux countries. Foissy, former distributor of Nike Golf for French on-course retailers, separately obtained a deal to sell Calvin Klein Golf apparel in France. Richard Birkhead, who already deals with Greg Norman and Marbas in Portugal, has joined Etonic’s distribution network as well. This comes as Etonic prepares to launch the first range of golf footwear entirely developed under its ownership by Lotto. This introduction is headed by Fraser Dunsmore, former European sales manager at Ashworth, who was placed in charge of Etonic’s European golf business last year, based in Italy.
