Pádel is angling for a spot on the list of Olympic sports, which now includes skateboarding, trampoline and even breaking (break dancing). The president of the International Padel Federation (FIP), Luigi Carraro, seems to have taken the sport a step closer to this goal. Back in July 2019, he appealed to the European Olympic Committee to include pádel in the European Games, and his efforts have now paid off. There will be pádel at this year’s edition of the games, scheduled for July in Krakow, Poland, with categories for men, women and mixed pairs.
