EuroSIMA is organizing its fifth annual Snowforum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for next Apr. 24-25. The program of the conference, the first one to be held on German soil, will include market surveys on the snowboard and free-ski markets and on internet retailing. At its annual Waterman’s Ball last month in Hossegor, a jury appointed by EuroSIMA assigned various types of awards to Intellysurf, Pull-In, Rip Curl and UWL. Rip Curl received the prize for the best surf advertising campaign of the year. François Payot, international director of Rip Curl and former president of EuroSIMA, got the Lifetime Achievement Award. One-third of the entry fees collected for the evening, or €11,000, will be donated to charities and environmental protection associations.
