eVent fabrics and Northwave have announced a new partnership for 2015, as the eVent air permeable ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane technology, called DVstretch, will be used in Northwave's winter apparel for the first time this year. The Northwave Arctic Jacket will be on the market in October 2015, the manufacturers report. The jacket is said to offer protection and comfort for winter cycling thanks to the new windproof DVstretch membrane - where DV stands for Direct Venting -  which is used in a three-layer BP Puma laminate from ITTTAI-Bel Punto, the exclusive agent of fabrics using eVent DVstretch technology. The BP Puma laminate, which can stretch 35 percent, covers the whole front and back surfaces of the jacket. DVstretch is windproof and provides water resistant protection, both critical for winter cycling.
