The 7th edition of the Festival dello Sport will be held in Trento, Italy on October 10-13. Organized by sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 2024 event was officially presented on September 11 in Milan, where the newspaper and RCS Mediagroup are headquartered, by Gianni Valenti, deputy editor of the newspaper and the scientific director of the event. This year’s Festival is titled “Nati per Vincere” (born to win), and the impressive array of speakers fully justifies that heading. The 2024 program features all-time sports stars like Carl Lewis, Fabio Cannavaro, Charles Leclerc, Tadej Pogacar, Bebe Vio, to mention but a few, as well as top executives like Urbano Cairo, President and CEO of RCS Mediagroup, Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of Formula 1, and more.
The Festival dello Sport 2024 will pay special attention to Olympic and Paralympic athletes, following the Paris 2024 Games this summer. “Trento will be a small Olympic Village,” said Stefano Barigelli, chief editor of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 2023 edition, which featured 130 events and more than 300 guest speakers, welcomed 52,000 visitors and reached 43 million streaming views. The figures were unveiled by Francesco Carione, general manager of Gazzetta dello Sport, at the presentation of this year’s event. Carione emphasized that record-breaking numbers of the kind are typically registered for actual sporting events.
