Asics will be closing the streets of Tokyo on Saturday, 3 May, to host a unique speed race.
On May 3, SICS will close the streets of Tokyo for a unique speed race next to the National Stadium. Partnered with World Athletics, the Asics-hosted “Tokyo: Speed : Race,” will showcase world-class athletes pushing speed and performance limits. Amateurs will also have a rare chance to run on the same course, aiming for personal records.

About 120 world-class elites and 2.750 mass-participation runners of all levels will compete in the 5K and 10K, aiming to break records. These runners will compete in the 5K as part of a half-marathon relay. There will also be a 1K family run, a children’s challenge, and a deaf race experience led by The Deaflympics. The course consists of a fast one-kilometer loop in front of the Japan National Stadium and the Meiji Memorial Museum.
