The French Olympic Committee has unveiled the plan for the anniversary celebrations.
A year after the Paris 2024 Olympics, the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) has unveiled the official plan for the first anniversary celebrations, which aim to keep the magic and legacy of the Games alive. The program for the celebrations is proposed by the CNOSF in conjunction with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the French Paralympic Committee (CPSF), the French State, sports federations, and in coordination with local actors including the Municipality of Paris, Greater Paris, the Ile-de-France Region, the Seine-Saint-Denis Department, host communities and cities, and Olympic and Paralympic partners.
This anniversary season, from May 8 to Dec. 31, 2025, will be structured around four types of events, including Engagement (citizen action, volunteering, inclusion), Sport (initiations, demos, events related to the French Team at Paris 2024), Culture (exhibitions, cultural events, festivals, Olympic legacy), and Institutional Protocol (inaugurations, official events, ceremonies). The events that are part of the official framework of the celebrations will bear the “J+1 year” label.
The evolving program for the celebrations will be available on the franceolympique.com website. In addition, French people are invited to share their enthusiasm for the anniversary celebrations with the official hashtag #ToujourslaFlamme.
