The new international business event for the running industry is taking place in November in Amsterdam.
Visitor registration has opened for the International Running Expo (IRX), Europe’s only event bringing together retailers, wholesalers and distributors, industry professionals, race directors, athletes and influencers from across the running business.
Taking place on Nov. 4-5 at the RAI Amsterdam, IRX offers an opportunity to source the latest products, strengthen relationships and gain invaluable industry insights. The running industry is experiencing explosive growth that is reshaping the market for brands, retailers and consumers, and this event will provide a date in the calendar for the running industry to harness this growth and do business in Europe on a whole new scale.
IRX is set to bring together over 300 international brands, offering visitors a look at the latest innovations in apparel, technology, footwear, nutrition and injury prevention. Attendees can explore and test thousands of products from such brands as Coros Wearables, Skechers Performance, Oofos, Suunto, Runr, Feetures, CXP, Acid Running and CEP. Beyond the exhibition floor, they will be able to experience new products firsthand through brand-led activations and morning runs across the city.

“As a specialty retailer, I’m thrilled to be attending the very first edition of the International Running Expo,” said Dawid Visser, Managing Director of Pure Endurance Solutions. ”IRX is a much-needed platform that brings the entire running industry together, and I’m looking forward to meeting brands from across Europe, exploring new products and connecting with industry professionals who share the same passion for running. It’s an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and is a vital event to attend as a retailer.”
At IRX, senior decision-makers from major retail stores can participate in the Hosted Buyer Programme, designed to foster business relationships and drive success.
The Athlete & Influencer Programme will shine a spotlight on industry advocates who are redefining the running sector. This program brings a direct-to-consumer angle to IRX and will open a range of opportunities for brands to forge strategic partnerships with influential leaders.
Not only will there be a plethora of networking opportunities during the two days, but the IRX Cool-Down Party also take place on the evening of Nov. 4. This party will enable visitors and exhibitors to connect in a more relaxed setting and embrace the running sector’s sense of community.
