The Performance Days team has announced that the upcoming show, which will take place on Oct. 29-30 in Munich, is fully booked.

“It shows that the market is hungry for highly focused, relevant platforms – and that when you bring the right people together with the right content, the results speak for themselves,” says Marco Weichert, founder and CEO of Performance Days. According to Weichert, the success comes down to a clear formula: relevant content, targeted formats and a deep understanding of what drives the community.
In October the new focus topic, “Textile to Textile – The Role of Recyclers,” puts circularity center-stage by exploring how recyclers are reshaping the future of functional fabrics. Additionally, a new partnership with Future Fabrics London will strengthen the show’s innovation platform. Along with industry-relevant formats, such as Expert Talks, workshops and interactive sessions, Performance Days seeks to offer the inspiration and knowledge necessary to drive real change, not just products.

Day 0: Rethinking waste – time for a mindset shift
The show starts with Day 0, Oct. 28, the eve of Performance Days’ autumn show. Nature functions in perfect cycles. Nothing is lost. Nothing is wasted. Each element plays a role and returns to the system with a purpose. So why does the textile industry continue to produce waste and tolerate it? Where does it begin? What exactly is waste? How can the industry start thinking differently to reduce and eventually eliminate waste? These are the central questions framing the second edition of Day 0.
With the theme “In Nature There Is No Waste,” Day 0 will set the stage for an interactive, disruptive and honest exchange. Its centerpiece is an interactive lab led by textile expert Bowie Miles, who brings more than 20 years’ experience along the textile value chain and endeavors to bring clarity to complex sustainability challenges. Miles will be joined by longtime Performance Days and also Outdoor Industry Compass contributor and Expert Talks moderator Charles Ross. Together, they will guide participants through an intensive, action-oriented day. According to the organizers, participants can expect a deep dive into circular thinking inspired by nature, business models that close loops, real-world examples proving that change is happening and practical tools to rethink waste in your daily work.
