Expo 2020 Dubai has unveiled its Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub, a 5,400-square-meter space that will offer a large range of free sporting activities and an entire zone dedicated to fitness and wellness. The Hub features a multi-sports area for basketball, volleyball, tennis and netball, as well as a five-a-side football pitch, an indoor fitness studio, a fitness stage, Big Bash cricket nets, and a space for sports exhibitions and celebrity signings. Expo 2020 will collaborate with the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) on a range of events. These will include The Expo Run, a race on Nov. 19 with around 5,000 participants taking part over distances of 10km, 5km or 3km. Among the other events, the Harlem Globetrotters will help launch the Dubai Fitness Challenge at Expo 2020. Full details of the events and activities at the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub, including timings, can be found at www.expo2020dubai.com, where visitors can also book where required. All sessions will be free of charge. The world fair in Dubai, which was originally planned for last year, will welcome visitors from Oct. 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022. The theme of the Expo is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
