Fanatics has signed a long-term partnership deal with the Union of European Football Associations (Uefa) that will see the company handle the merchandising and official fan shop for the events of Uefa's national teams. The deal is set to cover the Euro 2020 tournament, the Nations League Finals, the European Under-21 Championship, the European Futsal Championship and the Women's Euro 2021. As part of the agreement, Fanatics will also be able to produce officially licensed Uefa competition merchandise for its major tournaments. Separately, Fanatics has signed a long-term deal with FC Schalke 04, the professional German football club also known as the Royal Blues, for the production and distribution of the club's merchandise on- and offline as of the 2019/2020 season. The progressive German club is investing heavily in digitalization and e-sports to expand its visibility internationally. On the other hand, Fanatics has lost a deal with the Spanish Valencia team, which has decided to bring its online and offline retail operations in-house as part of its recently announced endorsement deal with Puma.
