FEDAS, the European federation of sporting goods retailers, had its annual meeting in Dresden recently. Its president, Werner Haizmann, who acts also as president of VDS, the German sporting goods retailers federation, and operates a store in Stuttgart, was re-elected for another three-year term. So were most of the other board members, who were promoted to the role of vice presidents. The general assembly confirmed the following vice presidents in their office: Ernst Aichinger, vice president of Austria’s VSSÖ; Pierre Gogin, president of the French FPS; and Marcel Savioz, who is vice president of the Swiss ASMAS. Enrico Rossi joins the board as vice president of Italy’s Federadas. Rossi replaces Gianpiero Caleri of Florence who is leaving the association as it merges into Federmoda, as previously reported. Another three-year term was won by Claude Benoit, the president of ASMAS, as FEDAS’ secretary-general.
