Fila made a surprise appearance as the title sponsor of the Legends Padel Trophy, which took place on June 6 and 7 at the Tolcinasco Padel Club just outside Milan. Participants were famous former footballers from Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Argentina, including two historic legends who wore the Italian brand in the 1990s and early 2000s and returned to do so for the occasion: former Fiorentina Bomber Gabriel Batistuta from Argentina and Italian Paolo Di Canio, an ex-West Ham player. Former footballers have become a powerful amplifier for the spread of paddle sports, thanks to their many online fans.
With this partnership, Fila is approaching the world of padel from a different angle than most other companies.
