Fila has struck a private brand deal with Kohl’s, a leading U.S. department store chain. The broad multi-year deal covers men’s, women’s and children’s categories for apparel, footwear and accessories under the Fila Sport logo. The first dedicated collection will be delivered to the American retailer in the Fall of 2008 to be sold exclusively in its 929 doors in the USA as well as online at its website, Kohls.com. The two companies will collaborate on product design. Kohl will manage sourcing, distribution and marketing for apparel and accessories, while Fila will do the same for the branded footwear category. Fila will continue to market its own apparel line to specialty stores in the country under the Fila brand.
