Forum Sport raised its net income by 30.3 percent to €898,000 on revenues of €126.2 million in FY2024 (ended on Jan. 31 of this year), according to Palco23, which has seen the company’s annual statements.
The revenues were up 2.2 percent from the €123.5 million of FY23 – less than Forum Sport would have liked. The reason? Low snowfall in the buying group’s chief market of northern Spain, as CEO Diego Llorente told Modaes last April. Revenues have otherwise been inching up from around €120 million since 2022.
Operating income for FY24 amounted to €25,000, down 34.2 percent from the previous year’s €38,000.
In the current year Forum Sport has been expanding at home and abroad, opening a store in Barcelona province and planning another for Andorra, which Llorente and his company see as “almost a continuation” of the Spanish market. Further stores are likely in Catalonia and Galicia, Burgos and Saragossa.
Forum Sport is majority owned (87%) by the supermarket group Eroski, with headquarters in Elorio, Basque Country. The rest is in the hands of Gespaforum, an employee-owned company within Eroski.
