Sportsshoes.com has announced a 22 percent year-on-year increase in international sales for the first half of FY25, which started on March 1, 2024. During the same period, the UK-based online retailer, specializing in running shoes, clothing and outdoor gear, acquired 75,000 new overseas customers, reflecting 17 percent growth compared to last year.

The total number of international customer orders reached 77,000, an 18 percent rise from the previous year. SportsShoes.com currently operates dedicated websites for France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with plans to expand into Poland, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Nordics.
The company, which offers over 17,000 products from 150 global brands like Asics, Nike, Salomon and Patagonia, attributes its growth to its enhanced international websites. A recent £4.6 million (€5.5m) investment in technology and infrastructure has boosted sales conversions, allowing purchases in nine currencies, including the Swiss Franc and Polish Zloty.
“We have an established reputation within the UK marketplace as the premium online retail brand in our space,” said Sportsshoes.com Managing Director Brett Bannister. “There is a clear opportunity for us to do the same in Europe and beyond, and these latest sales and customer acquisition numbers show our international expansion strategy is having a positive impact.”
Sportsshoes.com also works with 32 athlete ambassadors across several European countries and collaborates with over 300 running and triathlon clubs, offering members special promotions.
