Swedish apparel brand The Mountain Studio increased its net sales by 44.4 percent to SEK 56.6 million (€42.4m) in fiscal year 2024, up from SEK 39.2 million (€31.7m) in the previous year. However, according to Ehandel.se, the company reported a net loss of SEK 5.6 million (€4.4m) with a minor operating profit of SEK 220,000 in 2023.

The brand, co-founded by Peak Performance veterans Stefan Engström and Peter Blom along with ski star Marcel Hirscher, attributed the loss to strategic investments in long-term growth. These included new hires, expanded marketing, the launch of a membership program in Sweden and the establishment of a duty-free warehouse and a subsidiary in Switzerland.

Spring/summer collection balances seasonal revenues

Despite the setback, the company notes growth across all sales channels and remains optimistic. A new spring/summer collection has been introduced to balance seasonal revenue, and further investments are planned in IT systems to improve operational control and efficiency.

According to the Swedish company register, The Mountain Studio Sweden AB initiated a capital increase via a new share issue in May 2025 to support its continued expansion. No debts or payment defaults are currently registered with enforcement authorities. Although The Mountain Studio is registered in Sweden, its headquarters are in Zermatt, Switzerland.
