Finland’s sporting goods market grew slightly in 2009, rising by 4.4 percent to €1,059.1 million including VAT, according to Sporttymyyjâ. Most retail groups saw increases, including the top four: Intersport-Kesport rose by 5.7 percent to €305.8 million; Prisma was up by 22.3 percent to €112.5 million; Sportia rose by 9.3 percent to €73.7 million; and Citymarket increased by 4.0 percent to €61.8 million. The top supplier, Adidas Suomi, had a 2.0 percent decline to €38.5 million in its sales on the Finnish market, but the next three all saw growth. L-Fashion Group climbed by 15.4 percent to €32.9 million; Oy Sultrade was up by 4.1 percent to €30.3 million; and Amer Sports Suomi grew by 3.9 percent to €26.4 million.
