Forbes again ranked Nike as the most valuable sports brand at $17.3 million. It was followed by ESPN at $15 million and Adidas at $7.1 million. Meanwhile, Nike and Adidas were again cited by Interbrand among the world's most valuable brands. Nike came in 22nd position in its annual ranking, with a 16 percent gain in value to $19.87 billion, and was praised for its goal of reaching $2 billion in annual online sales by 2017. Adidas ranked 59th on Interbrand's list, with a 2 percent drop in value to $7.38 billion. It was cited for its increased efforts to reach out to millennials, including next-generation athletes. For the first time, Interbrands' listing was topped by two companies valued at more than $100 billion – Apple at $118.86 billion and Google at $107.4 billion.
