Forme is the registered name of a new brand of shoes based on a new technology that improves the walker's stride and speed by 10 percent. It uses a patented midsole in carbon fiber and a comfortable insole in dual-density PU and leather that provide support for the ankle and other muscles. The product is marketed by a new company formed by the inventor of the process, William Crary, by Cortina and by Richard Litzel. Crary, a 39-year-old shoemaker in Portland, Oregon, who invented the new technology, worked previously for Nike. Sales and marketing are being handled by Litzel, the successful former manager of Reebok in Central Europe who brought Keen to the European market and led MBT for a few years during the past decade. Litzel has hired some former collaborators from MBT to push sales of the line (more in Shoe Intelligence).
