Forum Sport will be changing the structure of its upper management during the first quarter of 2019, recasting five departments as six and shifting around its executives in consequence. The Spanish sports retailer is fusing its purchasing and own-brand departments into one. To lead this new, combined department Forum Sport has hired Aingeru Gabiña away from El Corte Inglés, where she has been serving as marketing director of the Spanish department store chain's sports division. Gabiña has also worked for Proged, Nestlé and Unilever. Forum Sport is also phasing out its operations department and substituting it with a resources department led by the current head of operations, Igor Muñoz. This will combine logistics and processes & systems to achieve transversal control of operations, the customer experience, technical systems and company expansion. Founded in 1991, and now present in 11 of Spain's autonomous communities, Forum Sport operates 51 stores, three outlets, 13 Dooers stores and an e-tail website.
